Bring Back the Recycling Center!
Help to bring back Texas Tech's recycling center! Recently, the recycling center closed down, and unless there is a pushback from the community. The Texas Tech Recycling Center is important both to the university and the community, because it's the only place in Lubbock for recycling. Help bring the recycling center back by signing this petition and sharing it with others!
Bring the Glass!
Help to bring glass recycling to Texas Tech! According to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), glass accounts for about 26.6% of recycling each year, and approximately 1.5 tons of glass is combusted. That's 1.5 tons of potentially sharp and hazardous glass that doesn't end up in a landfill with the potential to harm wildlife or the environment. Even more glass can be diverted from landfills if Texas Tech participates in glass recycling! Help to organize the TTU community to participate in recycling glass and bring the glass recycling movement to Lubbock!
